RSS School Group Experience Opportunities

As you begin planning for next year, please see the linked guide featuring free K–12 Social Studies experiences, kits, and tours aligned to NC SCOS standards for RSS schools. Schools are only responsible for transportation and any needed substitutes.

You’ll also find reservation links for Social Studies materials and walking tours. Requests are open through August 1 and filled on a first-come, first-served basis. We look forward to supporting engaging learning experiences for all students!

Un-boxed Kits

Horizons Unlimited offers Unboxed Kits—hands-on, science-based experiential learning kits available for rental by Rowan-Salisbury School teachers. Each kit includes everything needed to bring engaging, standards-aligned science experiences directly to your classroom. Designed to support the North Carolina Standard Course of Study.  These kits make it easy to deliver interactive, meaningful science lessons without the prep.

Field Trips at Horizons Unlimited

Our field trip programs are designed to give students and teachers access to enriching, hands-on learning experiences beyond the classroom. Our Core Experiences allow educators to fully customize their visit, tailoring activities to meet specific learning goals. Meanwhile, our grade-level specific Programs are thoughtfully crafted to align with North Carolina’s Standard Course of Study, offering developmentally appropriate, experience-based lessons that engage students in meaningful exploration.
